Just Dance Away..

I truly love this game.. It lets me dance my booty off, and doesn't make me bored to tears.. Unlike Insanity.. No insults meant to anyone that loves this workout, but if you've read my blog you know I can't do much repetition.. So I'm gonna stick with what I know, running and dancing.. And hopefully learning more about weight lifting..

I've also found a wonderful app that probably has already been loved by many for a while.. Picstitch.. As I've recently gotten into Instagram (check me out @fabchallenge), I've found it's so fun!!  Here's one from today..

On a totally unrelated subject... After noticing that I put the wrong storage amount on the Gazelle sale of my iPod Classic, I wanted to see how much difference there would be.. It went down to $42.. I put it on eBay and it sold for $80 within 5 minutes.. Yep, I love eBay so much.. lol

I'm Such A Dummy..

Well, I'm sure some of you are denying this, but give me a chance to prove it to you.. lol

I honestly don't know why, but I just realized that somewhere I started thinking I could lose weight with just a change of eating.. HAHA!!  I just brought you over to the "I'm a dummy" side, didn't I?!

I should honestly know better.. I read blogs, I've looked online at stuff, and I know that this thinking is really WRONG..

As I say this, I'm wondering how I'm going to rectify this.. Oh yeah, by starting off fresh tomorrow morning with W1D1 of Brad Gansberg's 5k in 100 days class.. I'm a little behind (I was gonna start tonight, but I picked up a last minute shift), but I will get my 3 days in.. :)

As much as I miss the gym, I honestly miss the treadmill the most.. I don't really miss the classes (as fun as they can be sometimes), or the music (I like my own music).. I miss getting into my own little world and just getting things done.. Is it sad that the only place I like to sweat is at the gym?  I feel like it's called for there.. hehe

-----------------------------

On a lighter note, I went to do my paperwork for my new job.. Found out I have to wait almost 6 months to get my medical and dental insurance.. which is okay, I guess.. HOWEVER, I only have to wait til December 1st to get my vision insurance.. Sadly, this is pretty important to me.. I happened to find two contacts that were floating around in my MULTIPLE contact cases (am I the only one who has like a dozen cases??).. so I can see clearly again now.. YAY!!  But I am planning to make appointments at all sorts of places for the appropriate doctors/dentists..

Now, I have an opinion question.. My medical insurance has two plans, one WITH an HSA account (and $1250 deductible) and one without an HSA account (and $750 deductible).. The hospital will deposit $500 into the HSA account (to make the difference between the plans), but the non-HSA one has co-pays and the other doesn't.. Any ideas of which one I should go for?  I'm leaning towards the HSA account, bc I've had one before, and I didn't have any problems (plus, I could always afford the visits since I was putting money into the account).. Let me know your opinion.. :)

I Broke Down..

and FINALLY tried out my ShakeWeight..

I'm sure most of you are like, "Wait, hasn't she tried it already?!"  I blogged about it a long time ago, but I never actually tried it.. I know someone asked why I couldn't use it without the DVD, and I don't think I ever answered.. The DVD gives you a 6 minute workout that, if you do it daily, should get your arms bangin'.. And I can say that I agree.. I finally decided enough was enough and put it in to do.. Not watch, but do!  I kept thinking it couldn't be too terribly hard to follow the first time around, and I was right..  It's pretty simple, and looks easy.. I was wondering why she kept saying to feel the burn, in the beginning.. Then after thinking that, I felt what she was talking about..

6 Minutes!!  That's all it took to make my arms feel like jelly.. BUT it's only when I use my arms that they feel that way.. plus, it's a nice feeling.. :)  If you have been wanting to try it, but don't know anyone that has used it, now you know me!  lol.. and I recommend it.. I will try to continue to do this daily and post weekly pics of my arms, along with my bi-weekly measurements.. hopefully I will remember to post them.. lol

Alternative Exercises..

Okay, so I just realized that I forgot to blog about the new exercise toy we have in my house.. and it's self-explanatory so it doesn't have a DVD with it!!  lol.. I got my mom a 5lb weighted hula hoop for her birthday (she asked for it, so I didn't get smacked)..

Seriously, even if you haven't hula hooped in years, I'd recommend this.. it hurts for a bit, but my mom has lost about 10 inches off of her stomach area since using this at Curves about 6 months ago.. I like it because it doesn't just make your tummy go down, I have to start so high up that my back fat starts to go away.. :)  So if you are looking for a new toy to add to your exercise regimen,  I really suggest you look into the weighted hula hoops (and maybe starting out at a smaller hoop?!)

NOTE: I wrote this because I wanted to, not because I was compensated to do so.. Oh, and if you wanna help a girl out and click on the Amazon link (even if ya just click on it), I'd be ever so grateful.. :)
